Product Details

More than just a fantastic German recipe book, More than a Schnitzel is almost as though author Christopher Knuth has taken you on a cooking tour of Germany, where you would learn the recipes and techniques needed to cook the spicy, herb-infused seafood native to the riverside outskirts of Hamburg. Learn how to cook the culinary specialties of Hamburg like fish, crab, herring and eel seasoned with paprika, cayenne and other spices without having to leave the comfort of your own kitchen. With enough traditional seafood, vegetable, meat, dressing and dessert recipes inside, transform your kitchen into a truly German kitchen.

About the Author

Christopher Knuth grew up in the small town Blankenese on the outskirts of Hamburg on the Elbe River, which influenced his cooking style as the river introduced seafood into Blankenese traditional cooking. Christopher's choice to pursue the art of cooking was born out of a desire to honour his brother, who was training to become a chef but was killed in a tragic accident at only age 17. Having worked at some of Blankenese's most historic hotels, including the prestigious Hotel Jacob, Chris' international experience more than qualifies him to introduce the Blankenese cooking style to Australians.
